Roswell GA - Interesting Facts

I am so proud to be a resident of this state that has the motto: Wisdom, justice and moderation” mostly because this is my motto too.
Roswell is one of the 10 biggest cities in Georgia and has close to 96k population.
This is the place where the mother of the 26th president T Roosevelt, Mittie Bullock grew up at the Bulloch Hall. This place is amazing if you like history. It’s field with a lot of furniture from the 1800s typical to mansions in that era. The interiors are not original to the home, but those who manage the residence have done a remarkable job of obtaining period furniture which is true to the site.
The home is easily located, just a left turn and then another left turn prior to reaching Roswell via the Roswell Highway heading north
You can visit the house, it is open to the public and if you decide to get a walking tour with a docent you will find out the whole history of the place. This is a must if you visit or move to Roswell GA.
Roswell is the place were Roswell king established a cotton mill in 1830 that became one of the biggest mill in north Georgia and the only one that was destroyed pm purposely in the civil war. Even if the mill was burned down during the war it was rebuilt later by Barrington king. You can still see the ruins of the Roswell Mill in the Old Mill Park. It became an awesome place to hike along the creek. It’s a great place to spend your day in the fall.
Another place that we absolutely love is the Chattahoochee River National Recreation area. This place has several walking, bicycle riding and jogging trails.
If you are a nature lover you definitely will love Roswell. This city has over 20 parks that you can enjoy with your family and friends. It is a family friendly town being chosen one of the safest city to line in the US multiple times because of the low crime rate in the city.
